What is Lorbeer Aleppo Soap?
Gentle and moisturising Lorbeer soap will not over dry the skin. Made with Laurel oil, a natural ingredient derived from bay leaves, it contains strong antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties. Can help relieve the symptoms of skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, fungal infections, irritated skin and dandruff.
The Syrian city of Aleppo has been famous for its handmade soap industry for over 1000 years.
The laurel oil in Aleppo soaps is obtained from a tree which grows in mountains in cold climates. It gives fruit every year and the oil is obtained by boiling the fruit. Laurel oil was used in the past in surgical operations as a natural disinfectant (sterilizer). There is evidence that it was used by the pharaohs, and it has been found in some Egyptian tombs, including that of Cleopatra. The Roman Caesars used laurel for crowns and held it in high esteem due to its healing properties and pleasant aroma.
Lorbeer Soap has no added colourants or chemicals.
How is Lorbeer Soap made?
The Lorbeer Aleppo Company selects only the best quality, nutrient-rich oils to manufacture their Lorbeer Soap. Each individual soap can take roughly a year to produce. The soap is handmade during the cold season using traditional methods dating back centuries. The pieces are then left to dry for 5 to 12 months.
Lorbeer Aleppo Soap has no added colourants or chemicals and is composed of only Olive Oil, Laurel Oil, Lye and Water. It’s natural smell is derived from the plants and oils used during production.
